Dermalogica Face Mapping
By Rhonda | April 13, 2007
I’ve started a skin care routine using the Dermalogica skin care product line. Dermalogica has developed a line of skin care products that focus on targeting specific skin care needs.
What I like about the products is that they don’t use artificial colors, artificial fragrances, alcohol, or formaldehyde. Who wants that on their skin?!? Plus they don’t test on animals. I like my skin care products to be cruelty-free.
Dermalogica has come up with a unique way to create a daily skin care regimen called Dermalogica Face Mapping. They have divided the face and neck into 14 different areas, which they use to create a unique skin care program for each person.
You input your skin condition on the forehead, eyes, cheeks, nose, and chin. Then a personalized skin care program is generated telling what your core skin care regimen should be.
Apparently, I have “selective oiliness” because I have excess oil production on my forehead, nose and chin areas but not on my cheeks, the classic T-zone.
The Dermalogica skin care products that are suggested for me are:
- Cleanse: Special Cleansing Gel
- Exfoliate: Skin Prep Scrub
- Moisturize: Acive Moist
- Target: Skin Refining Masque
I started the regimen last night with the Special Cleansing Gel, Skin Prep Scrub, and Skin Refining Masque. And tomorrow I plan on using the Skin Refining Masque when I’m home over the weekend.
In future posts, I’ll track my progress with my Dermalogica skin care program and report the results. But already I’ve noticed that the products smell great because they use natural herbs like lavender and mint.
Can’t wait to see the outcome of my Dermalogica Face Mapping experiment!
