Top 5 Skincare Tips

Taking care of your skin is not only important for your appearance but also for your health. The following tips will get you started on a daily regimen.

  1. Clean skin to remove excess oils and remove makeup as these can clog pores. Be sure to use a mild, alcohol-free cleanser, and use it every day.
  2. Tone skin to exfoliate dead skin cells. Be sure to use an alcohol-free toner if you have dry skin.
  3. Prevent wrinkles by using topical antioxidants such as Vitamin C to reduce environmental damage.
  4. Moisturize skin to hydrate skin and restore elasticity. If you have dry skin you should use an oil-based moisturizer. If you have oily skin you should us an oil-free moisturizer.
  5. Protect skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen that has UVA/UVB protection. Be sure to use a product with an SPF of at least 20. Mexoryl sunscreens are a good choice because they protect against both UVA/UVB rays while other sunscreens may not. Some makeups, especially foundations and powders, have an SPF so a sunscreen may not need to be applied if it is used.

By using these 5 tips and an appropriate skin care routine you should have healthy looking skin to last a lifetime!
