David J. Yanase, M.D. Board-certified in dermatology.
Dr. Yanase is
a 1979 graduate of Oral Roberts University and was a teacher and
coach before going to Texas Tech University of Medicine where he
obtained his M.D. in 1993. After an internship at Fitzsimmons Army
Medical Center , Dr. Yanase completed his dermatology residency
training at Brooke Army Medical Center , where he was a staff
dermatologist for four years before joining the Dermatology and
Laser Center of San Antonio in 2004. Dr. Yanase is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the Texas
Dermatological Society, The Association for Military Dermatologists,
Texas Medical Association and Bexar County Medical Society. While
practicing general adult and pediatric dermatology and dermatologic
surgery, Dr. Yanase also has a special interest in skin rejuvenation
and cosmetic procedures such as laser treatments, sclerotherapy for
spider veins of the legs, and Botox injections. Dr. Yanase’s
off-hours are centered around his family (6 children!) and church
